Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2026-008 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING A MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT OF LABOR <br />AND INDUSTRY PLUMBING PLAN REVIEW AGREEMENT AND APPLICATION <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the State of Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry (DOLI) conducts <br />plumbing plan reviews for permits in Arden Hills, as stipulated in Minn. R. 1300.0215, Subpart <br />6.; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Minn. Stat. § 326B.43, Subd. 2, permits the delegation of authority for <br />plumbing plan review for public and commercial projects to municipalities, or their designee, by <br />agreement; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this delegation agreement and the addition of plumbing plan review services <br />will benefit the City of Arden Hills by generating additional revenue that the State of Minnesota <br />usually retains by conducting these reviews; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, customer service benefits for permit applicants and residents are significant <br />as the state is behind on plan review, causing considerable delays in construction; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Arden Hills currently contracts with Rum River Consultants <br />(RRC) for supplemental building official services; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, RRC has indicated its capacity to review plumbing plans; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Arden Hills Staff supports RRC as our designee to perform plumbing plan <br />review for the City. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Arden <br />Hills approves the application and agreement with the Minnesota Department of Labor and <br />Industry in order for the City of Arden Hills to provide plumbing plan review services locally as <br />presented and direct staff to file the agreement with the Minnesota Department of Labor and <br />Industry. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
