<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />~ <br />~HILLS <br /> <br />CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 03-50 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING PARTICIPATION IN THE RAMSEY COUNTY <br />JOINT MAINTENANCE FACILITY <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Arden Hills has an identified need for a new operations <br />and maintenance facility; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Ramsey County has acquired a portion of the TCAAP property for a <br />new public works facility; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council convened the Maintenance Facility Taskforce to <br />evaluate the possibility of a joint partnership with the Ramsey County; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, after reviewing all pertinent information, the Maintenance Facility <br />Taskforce unanimously recommended "that Council proceed with partnering with <br />Ramsey County on the matter of a joint public works facility as an equity partner with the <br />plans as currently drafted;" and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it was the consensus of the City Council at their May 27th Special <br />City Council Work Session to accept the Taskforce's recommendation to proceed with <br />the inclusion of additional cold storage space; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council directed staff to prepare the necessary documents <br />for the project to proceed; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, .the proposed space, including the additional cold storage area, <br />consists of 14,888 usable square feet and 19,612 gross square feet as illustrated; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, M.A. Mortenson has submitted a gross maximum price for the <br />project to the County and the County has indicated the Arden Hills portion of the project <br />will cost $2,387,514; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the School District approved its participation in the project at their <br />June 24th meeting; and <br />
