<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />~ <br />EN HILLS <br /> <br /> <br />CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 03-81 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE AGREEMENT WITH RAMSEY COUNTY <br />FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT SERVICES <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Ramsey County has a statutory obligation to provide police protection <br />within Ramsey County; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Ramsey County has previously contracted to provide law enforcement <br />services to Arden Hills, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Council has determined that it is in the best interests of the Arden Hills <br />to continue to contract with the Ramsey County for law enforcement services, thereby allowing <br />for the allocation of overhead and other administrative costs over a larger population; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the parties to this Agreement intend to contract for law enforcement <br />functions within the political boundaries of Arden Hills through the Ramsey County Sheriff; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Ramsey County is agreeable to rendering such services on the terms <br />and conditions set forth in the agreement; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, such contracts are authorized and provided for by the provIsIOns of <br />Minnesota Statutes Sections 471.59 and 436.05, and Laws 1959, Chapter 372. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of Arden Hills does hereby <br />approve the Agreement between the City of Arden Hills and the County of Ramsey to provide <br />law enforcement services commencing January 1, 2004 <br />
