<br />.... <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />~ <br />~HILLS <br /> <br />CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 02-51 <br /> <br />A Resolution to Approve the Identified Space Needs for <br />the City of Arden Hills Operations and Maintenance <br />and to Move Forward with Phase I Design Services in Conjunction <br />with Ramsey County for a <br />Joint Maintenance Facility <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Arden Hills had a Public Works Space Needs Analysis <br />performed in 1998 by Toltz, King, Duval, and Anderson (TKDA), and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Arden Hills had TKDA perform an update to that Public Works <br />Space Needs Analysis in 2002 in conjunction with a Ramsey County Public Works Space Needs <br />Analysis Study Update, and <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, TKDA has returned a Space Needs Analysis Program calling for a main <br />building of21,628 square feet and a cold storage facility of2,261 square feet to meet the <br />operational needs of the City of Arden Hills Operations & Maintenance Department, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Ramsey County would like to begin Phase I Design Services for a Joint <br />Public Works Facility which will include an application for a Special Use Permit to be located on <br />the 36 acre parcel obtained by special legislation on TCAAP property, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Ramsey County needs to know whether or not the prospective partners <br />agree with the proposed Space Needs Revised Space Needs Analysis, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Ramsey County needs to know from the prospective partners in the Joint <br />Public Works Facility whether or not they will participate in the Phase I Design Services <br />including costs for their share of services upon selection of the design team, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Ramsey County Board of Commissioners will select a final design team at <br />its board meeting October 8, 2002, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Ramsey County Board of Commissioners will authorize Ramsey County <br />staffto negotiate the final price for Phase I Design Services with the selected design team, <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Arden <br />Hills that the City of Arden Hills: <br /> <br />1. Agrees with the Revised Space Needs Analysis by TKDA for a main building of <br />21,628 square feet and a cold storage facility of 2,261 square feet. <br />2. The City of Arden Hills agrees to pay for its share ofthe prorated costs for Phase I <br />Design Services with the final selected design team based upon on a negotiated <br />
