He stated that the <br /> idea is to position the PTRC in a way that makes it possible for the Committee to have <br /> discussions with Council and Staff regarding the parks and trails budget. He stated that what <br /> they are trying to do with the vision statement is create some form of global context where they <br /> can then assign priorities from within. <br /> Committee Member Williams agreed stating that the Council needs to decide, with help from the <br /> PTRC, as to what amenities they want to provide to the citizens of Arden Hills. He assured the <br /> Committee that the subcommittee was not trying to undo the current plan. <br /> Council Liaison Larson stated that the best thing the Committee could present to Council is a <br /> clear priority list that identifies their top five to ten items. <br /> Committee Member McClung asked ifit is their intent to include all ofthe priorities listed in the <br /> 2005 list. He noted that there are a couple of items missing on the map. <br /> Chair Henry stated that the subcommittee would like to meet a couple more times to "flesh it <br /> out" further and then come back to the PTRC with a more complete draft for their review and <br /> input. He suggested working through the draft in ajoint-working session before they present the <br /> final draft to Council. He stated that his intent would be to work through this process in the <br /> January/February/March timeframe to be ready for the next budget session. <br /> . Mr. Moore stated that Staff recently received the PCI rating for Arden Hills. He stated that it <br /> shows Snelling Avenue from Lindy's down to 51 is the worst neighborhood in the City. He <br /> stated that Staff is preparing a report to Council and this would be included in the 2007-2012 <br /> Road Project presentation. He noted that this could have some impact on trail placement in this <br /> area. <br /> Committee Member Williams stated that their priorities would be based on the highest need and <br /> where it would most likely happen. He stated that they have also discussed tradeoffs such as <br /> sidewalk placement on Lexington and reviewed with the Committee. <br /> 7. NEXT MEETING AGENDA <br /> .
