The six-member team in Administration helps the City Administrator manage the functions of all other City <br /> Departments and oversee the implementation of the City CouncWs policies and decisions. [n addition to coordinating <br /> Council and organization activities, Administration is also responsible for human resources, management information <br /> services, public information, cable television, and intergovernmental relations. <br /> Quick Facts about Administration: <br /> '*' How many Council meetings are there? <br /> The City Council meets on the second and last Monday of each month for regular meetings and the third <br /> Monday for Worksession meetings. Administration prepares agendas, and provides support information for a <br /> total of 36 meetings each year. <br /> '*' How many people are employed by the City'? <br /> Administration coordinates personnel services for Arden Hills' 142 City part-time and full~time employees. <br /> '*' Does the City have a community newsletter? <br /> Yes. We publish and distribute 10 issues of the Arden Hills Notes, the city-wide newsletter, each year. <br /> '*' Are Council meetings cable casted live? <br /> The City provides tape-delayed cable casting of all regular City Council meetings on Government Access <br /> Channel 16~ The tapes are broadcast the Wednesday following the meeting at 11 :00 a~m, and 7:00 p,m, <br /> '*' What Is the annual budget for Arden Hills? <br /> The 1998 General Fund budget, which was approved by the City Council, is approximately $2,540,230~ <br /> '*' How many precincts are in Arden Hills? <br />. The Administration department coordinates and staffs national, state and local office elections at its 4 <br /> precincts. <br /> '*' \Vhom do I contact regarding licensing questions? <br /> Administration processes applications for liquor, cigarettes, solicitors, charitable gambling, refuse haulers, <br /> businesses, and other activities related under City ordinances, <br /> '*' What's the status of the proposed City Hall? <br /> The City Council is currently evaluating the schematic design and model for the building proposed to be built <br /> on TCAAP. Construction is expected to begin this spring with occupancy around January I, 1999. <br /> '*' When is City Hall open? <br /> City Hall is typically open to the public Monday through Friday, 8:00 a,m, to 4:30 p.m, From Memorial Day <br /> to Labor Day, City Hall hours are 8:00 a,m, to 5:30 p,m" Monday through Thursday, and 8:00 a,m. to 12:00 <br /> p~m. on Fridays. <br /> '*' Is the City on~line with its own Home Page? <br /> No. However, Administration is working with a variety of other agencies to coordinate the creation of a web <br /> page and access to City Hall through the Internet.
