Background <br />Mounds View High School is built on land formerly owned by John Farrell, an Irish <br />immigrant who came to America in 1849 and also who the lake is named after. The land <br />was previously farmland and relatively clear, however since the school has been there the <br />woods have grown thicker with underbrush and tree coverage.
