<br /> < <br />Administrator Comments for the January 26, 1998 Council Meeting <br />Page Two <br />January 23, 1998 . <br /> e. Res. #98-12. Regarding State Aid Status <br /> The City Council is asked to adopt Resolution #98-12, Establishing Snelling <br /> Avenue as a Municipal State Aid Street. This action would formally designate <br /> that portion of Snelling Avenue which was turncd back to the City from Ramsey <br /> County in 1997 as a Municipal State Aid street. <br /> f. Res, #98-21. Regarding: Revoking State Aid Status <br /> The City Council is asked to adopt Resolution #98-21, Revoking Municipal State <br /> Aid Status for County Road F. This action would revoke the Municipal State Aid <br /> designation for that portion of County Road F between Hamline and Lexington <br /> A venue turned back to Ramsey County by the City of Arden Hills. <br /> g. Lametti & Sons. Pay Estimate #2. Fourteenth Street NE Improvement <br /> Proiect <br /> The City Council is asked to approve Pay Estimate #2 in the amount of <br /> $183,649.92 to Lametti & Sons. A retainage of five percent (5%) is being held <br /> for the project. <br /> h. Public Safety Commission Appointment <br /> The City Council is asked to appoint Mr. Frederic Baude to serve on the City's . <br /> Public Safety Commission for 1998. <br />3. Unfinished and New Business <br /> a. Gatewav Business District (GBD) <br /> 1. Res. #98-09. General Obligation Tax Increment Bonds <br /> The City Council is asked to adopt Resolution #98-09, providing for the <br /> sale of$3,100,000 General Obligation Tax Increment Bonds, Series <br /> "1998A". The City has resolved all outstanding issues with <br /> Naegele/Morris Communications which will allow for the closing of land <br /> sales and agreements with Welsh. <br /> The bond size has increased as a result of additional information being <br /> available from Change Orders related to the public improvements <br /> associated with the Gateway project. <br /> b. Res. #98-13. Authorizing Plans and Snecifications. Trail Culvert <br /> The City Council is asked to adopt Resolution #98-13, Authorizing Preparation of <br /> Plans and Specifications for the Construction of a City Trail Culvert. This action <br /> would direct BR W to prepare plans to obtain bids for the culvert improvements. . <br /> Due to the significant cost estimates submitted by MSA and BRW, the bids are <br /> critical to determine whether this project can proceed in 1998, or be postponed. <br />
