MEMORANDUM <br /> DATE: January 16, 1998 <br /> TO: Brian Fritsinger, City Administrator <br /> FROM: Dwayne Stafford, Public Works Superintendent y) <br /> SUBJECT: Stop Sign Placement <br /> Background <br /> The City of Arden Hills Public Safety Commission Chairperson and Ramsey County Deputy <br /> Sheriff; John Tholen, recommended the City erect stop signs on Dunlap Street at Tiller Lane in <br /> the southeast area of Arden Hills. Mr. Tholen indicated several accidents have occurred at this <br /> location, one of which had injuries. The sight lines in this area are somewhat restricted by large <br /> spmce trees growing within the Right-of-Way. Public Works will contact the owners of those <br /> trees and the City Code Enforcement Officer in regards to trimming of these trees. <br /> Mr. Tholen also provided the Commission Members with photos of the intersection. A motion <br /> was made and passed unanimously to ask Council's permission to erect stop signs on Dunlap <br /> A venue at Tiller Lane. Attached is a map of the area showing proposed stop sign locations and a <br /> . copy of letter sent to affected residents. <br /> Recommendation <br /> The City of Arden Hills Public Works Superintendent recommends the City Council consider <br /> and approve the installation of two stop signs at the intersection of Dunlap A venue and Tiller <br /> Lane. <br /> Enclosure <br /> DS\jt <br /> . <br />
