City Issues - Short Term <br /> a, Lake .Josephine Ahatement, Anderson <br /> Staff would like to update the City Council on a potential abatement ofnuisance <br /> property located on Lake Josephine. <br /> b. 1998 Assessment Rate <br /> The City Council should discuss whether or not it would like to establish the 1998 <br /> assessment rates prior to the Assessment Hearing. <br /> c, STD, LTO and Life Insurance <br /> . Staff has received quotes for STD, L TD and Life Insurance per the direction of <br /> the City Council. Due to the long delay in receiving the health rates for 1998, <br /> staff wanted to discuss these rates with Council in order to avoid losing the rates <br /> due to timing issues. <br /> d, Kenna Property Update <br /> Ms. Walsh would like to give a brief update to the City Council on the status of <br /> the Kenna Park property. The City Council should be prepared to provide <br /> direction on whether or not staff should proceed further into acquiring Fee Title to <br /> the property. <br /> e. Alliant Techsystems <br /> The City Council received a letter dated January 29, 1998 from Alliant <br /> Techsystems, which was a response to the February 25, 1997 Arden Hills letter <br /> inquiring about AlIiant's interest in meeting to explore potential consolidation. <br /> Alliant has also responded to other questions raised by the City over the past few <br /> months. Council should discuss the long-term ramifications of this interest, and <br /> determine when and if the City is interested in pursuing consolidated planning <br /> efforts. <br /> f, City Hall <br /> The site plan for City Hall is scheduled to be presented at the March 4, 1998 <br /> . Planning Commission meeting. The City Council may wish to discuss the site <br /> plan and building specifications. This would include exterior facade materials and <br /> community room. <br />
