COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br /> RESOLUTION 98-24 <br /> A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE FUTURE FUNDING FOR THE <br /> REDEVELOPMENT OF RAMSEY COUNTY'S TONY SCHMIDT LAKE <br /> JOHANNA PARK <br /> WHEREAS, Ramsey County committed $300,000 in 1997 for the redevelopment project, <br /> primarily for planning purposes, and an additional $630,000 in 1998 to begin the proj ect; and <br /> WHEREAS, Ramsey COllnty has appointed a Task Force including residents of Arden Hills <br /> who aided staff and consultants in designing the redevelopment plan; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Arden Hills City Council has preliminary reviewed the plan and concurs with <br /> the proposed redevelopments; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Ramsey County Parks and Recreation Department Staff have proposed money <br /> to be budgeted for the next three years as follows: 1999 - $855,000, 2000 - $675,000, and 2001 - <br /> $165,000; and <br /> . WHEREAS, the City of Arden Hills would like to strongly encourage Ramsey County to <br /> continue to budget and fund the redevelopment of Tony Schmidt Park for subsequent years until <br /> the final stages have been completed; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Arden Hills requests that Ramsey County complete the project as <br /> promptly as possible. <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Arden Hills, <br /> Minnesota, that the City of Arden Hills supports the plan to redevelop Tony Schmidt Lake <br /> Johanna Park and as strongly as possible requests that Ramsey County continue to financially <br /> support each phase ofredevelopment at or above the proposed levels until it is complete. <br /> PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br /> THIS 23RD DAY OF FEBRUARY, 1998. <br /> DENNIS PROBST, MAYOR <br /> ATTEST: <br /> . <br /> BRIAN FRITSINGER, CITY ADMINISTRATOR <br /> -- --- -- <br />
