This information will be shared with the City Council as part of future
2027 budget discussions.

Background

The Economic Development Authority (EDA) has reviewed conceptual plans for the installation
of additional City of Arden Hills gateways signs for a number of years. There are three gateway
signs installed in the City.
Existing Gateway Signs

After those were installed, the EDA initially identified six potential locations for gateway signs
with Highway 96 and Lexington Avenue being identified as the priority location. A conceptual
design and cost analysis was prepared by WSB for this location (Attachment E). In 2022, the EDA
added to the list a seventh potential location at Lake Valentine Road at 35W. During this
discussion, the EDA requested feedback from the EDC on the proposed gateway sign locations
and possible design.
