CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br /> MEMORANDUM <br /> DATE: July 20,1998 <br /> TO: Mayor and City Council <br /> FROM: Bd,. >'dl"',,,, City Adm""""" !r- <br /> Kevin Ringwald, Assistant to the City Administrator <br /> SUBJECT: TCAAP <br /> Background <br /> At the May 18, 1998 Council meeting, the City Council briefly discussed the various outstanding <br /> items related to TCAAP and directed staff to prepare a more detailed list for discussion at its July <br /> meeting. The City Council then requested that staff prepare a strategy for each aspect of the <br /> project list; determine those of an immediate priority for Council policy action, outside <br /> assistance and/or advisory task force involvement; and evaluation of a proposed strategy for the <br /> remainder of items, <br /> The following is intended to respond to the direction provided by the City Council. <br />. LIST OF PRIORITY PROJECTS <br /> 1. City Hall Facility Site <br /> A. Key Issues <br /> . Timing is crucial related to the existing lease <br /> . Lease negotiations have not yet begun <br /> . National Guard request for transfer ofland from the Army to the Guard is <br /> completed and in Washington awaiting action <br /> . No alternative options have been identified <br /> . Schematic plans are nearing completion for submittal to the Planning <br /> Commission <br /> . Council should discuss options as to how to expedite the transfer process <br /> B. Strategy <br /> Identify who has the lease and determine what needs to be accomplished for final <br /> approval of the lease. If delays in transfer continue, no later than May 1, 1999, <br /> meet with parties to determine whether additional resource allocation or outside <br /> assistance is necessary. <br />. <br /> -----.---- <br />
