. PROJECT COSTS/PROJECT FUNDING Preliminary construction cost estimates have been prepared for the proposed project. Project Costs shown below include a 10% contingency cost and 26% for administrative costs. Administrative costs include engineering, planning, legal, fiscal, and city staff expenses. The following is a summary of the estimated project costs: Improvements Estimated Cost Roadway Improvements* $ 400,290.00 Watermain/Sanitary Sewer Improvements $ 87,650.00 Storm Drainage Improvements $ 237.100.00 Total Construction Cost $ 725,040.00 *includes temporary signal and trail Land ACQuisition Costs The project costs shown above do not include any costs associated with land acquisition or condemnation of the Indykiewicz property. The city is currently negotiating with the property owner for the acquisition of the parcel. Any costs associated with land acquisition, structure demolition and relocation of personal property (i.e. black dirt stockpiles) will be resolved as a part of the ongoing negotiation/condemnation process. . Ramsev County Cost Particination A significant portion of costs associated with the roadway improvements and storm drainage improvements will be reimbursed to the City by Ramsey County as a part of the Highway 96 reconstruction project. Based upon discussions with Ramsey County staff, costs for the construction of a roadway equivalent to the existing roadway would be borne by the County. This report includes a separate estimate of the roadway costs to be reimbursed by the County. The County will not participate in any costs associated with the temporary signal, concrete curb and gutter, sidewalk or bituminous trail. In addition, the County will participate in the storm sewer costs to the extent that the piping and ponding improvements serve Highway 96. It is estimated that approximately 60% of the tributary drainage area entering the pond is from County right of way, therefore Ramsey County should reimburse the City for 60% of storm drainage costs. a final determination of storm drainage cost participation will be made once final design of the Highway 96 improvements is sufficiently complete to verify tributary areas.
