In <br /> addition, major disasters such as train wrecks, plane crashes, explosions, accidental releases of <br /> hazardous materials, and enemy attack pose a potential threat to public health and safety in <br /> Arden Hills. An emergency plan is needed to ensure the protection of the public from the effects <br /> of these hazards, <br /> Pu rpose of Plan <br /> The City of Arden Hills has many capabilities and resources which could be used in the response <br /> to any major disaster. These include the facilities, equipment, manpower, and skills of both <br /> government and non-government professions and groups in Arden Hills, The purpose of this <br /> plan is to ensure the effective, coordinated use of these resources to: <br /> a, maximize the protection of life and property, <br /> b. ensure the continuity of government. <br /> c, sustain survivors, <br /> d. repair essential facilities and utilities. <br />. <br /> Legal Basis and References <br /> a.
