<br />StanOIng uperating rroceoure <br />City of Arden Hills <br />Emergency uperatlon Yian w-arning and Notification <br /> . <br />purpose <br />ThIs standard operatmg procedure IS intended to provIde lar the proper receIpt and <br />dissemination of all warnings and notifications of natural or man-made disasters, It provides <br />procedures to disseminate warning to the general public within the jurisdictional areas of <br />Arden Hlfls and to ensure that immediate action IS taken to minimize the etlects of an <br />impending or actual disaster. <br />I. General <br /> The Ramsey County Warning Point, Sheriffs Patrol Station, 655 West County Road E, <br /> is responsible for disseminating all watches and warnings to Arden Hills except for <br /> warnings for conditions generated within the city itself. The Ramsey County Warning <br /> Point has a 24 hour warning capability. <br /> The Arden Hills Warning OtTicer is the Sheriffs Department Supervisor. <br /> The Arden Hills Warning Point is the Ramsey County Sheriffs otlice at 655 W. County <br /> Road E. . <br /> The Arden Hills Warning Officer is responsible for ensuring all warnings and <br /> notifications are properly received and disseminated (\'ee Allacbrnenl 3. Ofv orArdi~n <br /> Hills Warninf[ Svslem Jiavram!. <br />II Actions to be taken by the City Warning Otlicer when there is an immediate threat to <br /> life: <br /> A. Upon receipt of warning from Ransey County Warning Point: <br /> 1. Notify key City government officials (see Attachment 2). <br /> 2. Notify radio and/or TV stations as appropriatc (in majority of cases <br /> Anoka Countv will contact news media when thev have generated the <br /> warning), <br /> 3. Notity ccrtain private and/or public facilities (hospitals, industries, <br /> nursing homes. etc.), <br /> . <br />
