<br />e <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />\. <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />AGREEMENT FOR INSTALLATION AND <br />MAINTENANCE OF TRAFFIC CONTROL SIGNALS <br />AGREEMENT NO. 99002 <br /> <br />RECEIVED <br />APR 26 1999 <br /> <br />CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br /> <br />THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into by and between the County of Ramsey, <br />Department of Public Works, hereinafter referred to as the "County," and the City of Arden Hills <br />hereinafter referred to as the "City" for the installation and maintenance of a traffic control signal <br />system with street lights and signs at the intersection of Highway 96 and Round Lake Road West; <br /> <br />WITNESSETH: <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the County has determined that there is justification and it is in the public's best <br />interest to install traffic control signals with street lights and signs on Highway 96 (County State Aid <br />Highway No.96) and Round Lake Road West; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the County and the City will participate in the installation, maintenance and <br />operation of said traffic control signals with street lights and signs as hereinafter set forth, <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS AGREED AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />~ <br />1. The City shall install or cause the installation of said traffic control signals with street <br />lights and signs on Highway 96 at Round Lake Road West. <br /> <br />2, The County shall furnish vehicle and pedestrian indications for the project at no cost to <br />the City, All remaining construction costs including engineering and inspection to complete the <br />construction of said traffic control signals with street lights and signs will be at the City's cost and <br />expense. <br /> <br />3, The City shall install or cause the installation of an adequate electric power supply to the <br />service pad including any necessary extensions of power lines. Upon completion of the traffic control <br />signals with street lights and signs, necessary electrical power for their operation shall be at the cost <br />and expense of the City, In accordance with the Policy for lighting County Roadways, County Board <br />Resolution 78-1394, the City shall maintain and pay energy costs of the integral street light. <br /> <br />4, Upon completion of the work contemplated in paragraph I hereof, the County shall own, <br />maintain and keep in repair the traffic control signal and signs including relamping cleaning and <br />painting at its expense, <br /> <br />5, All timing and related adjustments of the traffic control signals shall be determined by <br />the County through its Traffic Engineer, and no changes shall be made to these adjustments without <br />the approval of the County. <br /> <br />99002 - 1 <br />
