BrownlBRW, Inc. <br />Arden Hills City Engineer <br /> <br />Date: <br /> <br />September 9, 1999 <br /> <br />Subject: Payment Request #5 <br />West Round Lake Road, Phase 1 <br /> <br />Background <br />The City of Arden Hills awarded Forest Lake Contracting of Forest Lake, Minnesota the West <br />Round Lake Road, Phase 1 project on March 8, 1999 for a total contract amount of $794,725.05. <br />The City Council approved Change Order #1 on April 12, 1999 reducing the contract amount by <br />$32,000.00 to 762,725.05. The City Council approved Change Order #2 on August 9, 1999 <br />increasing the contract amount by $43,970.00 to $806,695.05. <br /> <br />Project Status <br />Forest Lake Contracting has substantially completed the project. The traffic switch is scheduled <br />for Monday, September 13, 1999. BRW and City staff will conduct a walk through inspection <br />during the week of September 13th and generate a final punchlist of items for the Contractor to <br />complete. Pay request #5 includes payment for excavation, roadway, trail and sidewalk <br />construction work completed through August 31,1999. <br /> <br />Recommendation <br />The Arden Hills City Engineer recommends Council approve pay request #5 in the amount of <br />$170,883.95 to Forest Lake Contracting.
