<br />~ <br /> <br />, <br />. <br /> <br />January 28,1999 <br />Overnight Parking <br />Page 2 <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />Chairman Tholen suggested this may reduce crime and will be easier to enforce as the 30 minute, <br />year around time frame will be easier to monitor than the existing ordinance. <br /> <br />Further discussion led to the recommendation that the existing signs relating to the current <br />ordinance be replaced with six new signs at key City entry locations to be decided later, The <br />new signs would be an abbreviation of the revised ordinance. <br /> <br />City Attorn!:)' Review <br />City Attorney Miller reviewed the proposed ordinance change and found it acceptable with <br />rewording of the paragraph on Winter Parking Regulations which he proposed. Attached is an <br />amended copy of the ordinance showing changes. <br /> <br />Recommendatiou <br />The City of Arden Hills Public Safety Commission recommends that the City Council adopt <br />Ordinance #312 relating to the amendment of Parking Regulations, and publish a direct staff <br />summary of this ordinance in the official newspaper. <br /> <br />The Commission also recommends that Council authorize staff to install six signs, at locations to' <br />be determined by the Public Safety Commission, identifying the "Overnight Parking" - <br />regulations. .. <br /> <br />If Council concurs with these recommendations, staff will proceed with the necessary work to <br />implement this recommendation, including the installation of signs. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />2 <br />
