He stated that there would be a presentation by Staff prior to the
public hearing. Once the public hearing is closed, the Planning Commission would discuss the
proposal with the Staff and make a motion for recommendation to the City Council.

Ms. Randall explained that the applicant was requesting approval of an amendment to the City's
Official Map, creating a cul-de-sac roadway system on Shoreline Lane approximately 550 feet
north of County Road D and a dead-end approximately 270 feet south of Edge water Road. The
area is zoned R-2 Single Family Residential District.

Ms. Randall stated that a letter had been received from Mr. Robert E. Wesslund and Mrs. Mary
M. Wesslund expressing their preference for a cul-de-sac for Shoreline Lane and concern for run-
off water flowing over their property.

Ms. Randall explained that the applicant had recently submitted a preliminary plat showing the
extension of Shoreline Lane. At the February 3, 1999, Planning Commission meeting the
applicant withdrew their application to pursue an amendment to the Official Map.
