Role of Council Liaison/Council <br />The primary role of the Council Liaison is to represent/clarifY Council positions on issues, <br />provide feedback to the committee based on the goals of the City Council, and report back to <br />the full City Council any relevant issues of discussion. Council members should provide an <br />overview on how the city operates. <br /> <br />The City Council would provide, at an annual orientation session, an overview (Le., <br />government background, operations, etc.); and its prioritized goals and specific charge to <br />each City committee, and then the Council Liaisons would take on an advisory or observation <br />status. <br />
