Commission - AUl!ust of 1999 <br />Case #99-04 City of Arden Hills, Creation of a Neighborhood Business zoning district, <br />Discussion Only. The Planning Commission will continue discussions on the <br />creation of a neighborhood business district. The district will take several <br />meetings to frame out before formal consideration is undertaken (ie., Summer <br />of 1999). Any particular thoughts about the types of uses, examples of good <br />neighborhood centers, or other thoughts would be appreciated. <br /> <br />Case #99-11 <br /> <br />Aaron and Steve Nelson, 3130 Cleveland Avenue, Concept PUD. The <br />applicants are requesting concept approval for an approximately 7,000 square <br />foot office building at the comer of County Road D and Cleveland Avenue. <br />The structure is residential in appearance with parking adjacent to the <br />roadways. The current setbacks from adjacent residential (north and east) are <br />100 feet. The applicants are proposing 20 feet. <br /> <br />Case #99-13 <br /> <br />Friskies Pet Care, 4251 Fernwood Avenue, Site Plan. The applicant is <br />requesting approval to biofiIter to the rear (west) of their existing building to <br />eliminate the odor that currently emanates from their facility. Essentially, the <br />biofilter is a 50 foot wide by 50 foot long by 8 feet deep (one half <br />underground) vessel in which the raw air is pumped in the bottom, then it <br />works its way up through the medium is purified and exits through the top. <br />The company's web site is located at http://www.bioremtechnologies.com. <br /> <br />Protective Inspections <br />1. Building Permits (July of 1999). The City issued four commercial/industrial permits in <br />July. The first, Permit (#6618) was an interior remodel ($7,238) at 3557 Lexington <br />Avenue. The second, Permit (#6619) was for an interior remodel ($100,000) at 4201 <br />Lexington Avenue. The third, Permit (#6630) was for a window replacement ($8,975) at <br />3363 Dunlap Street. Lastly, the fourth, Permit (#6652) was for an interior remodel <br />($25,000) at 6 Pine Tree Drive. <br />
