Rhees, AICP Community Planner Experience Ms. Rhees is a member ofBR W's Minneapolis office and works primarily in the areas of comprehensive planning and zoning. Ms. Rhees has extensive experience in conunnnity planning and design, park and open space planning, neighborhood revitalization and ordinance preparation. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .: . . . . . . . . . . . .. . . . Comprehensive Planning Ms. Rhees has prepared comprehensive plans for the Cities of Minnetonka, Shoreview, Brooklyn Center and St, Anthony, MN, addressing the issues of redevelopment and resource protection in first- and second-ring suburbs, She has prepared zoning ordinances for Washington, Renville, Sherburne and McLeod Counties and for the City ofFaribault, MN. Many of these ordinances address issues of farmland and open space preservation through density-based zoning, urban growth boundaries around cities, and clustering of homes into compact neighborhoods, Ms, Rhees is currently developing an ordinance for Purchase of Development Rights in Washington County, and a preservation plan for a historic agricultural landscape in Goodhue County. Ms, Rhees has also developed design guidelines for downtown commercial districts in Wayzata and for highway conunercial development in Northfield, MN, As a planner with Montgomery County, I' A, Ms, Rhees developed numerous comprehensive plans, zoning ordinances, and special-pUlpose studies for municipalities within the county. Redevelopment and Revitalization Ms, Rhees is completing a plan for the revitalization of conunercial districts along Minnehaha Avenue, an arterial cotridor in south Minneapolis, focusing on strategies for attracting new businesses and streetscape improvements, She also worked on the Neighborhood Design Framework Plan for the Linden Hills neighborhood of Minneapolis, As a plaruring consultant, Ms, Rhees assisted a number of Minneapolis neighborhoods, including Cedar-Isles-Dean, Lowry Hill, and Prospect Park-East River Road, with the coordination and management of the Neighborhood Revitalization Program and with preparation of neighborhood action plans.
