<br />ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL - AUGUST 9 1999 <br />, <br /> <br /> <br />II <br /> <br />I. League of Minnesota Cities (LMC) Policy Adoption Discussion <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Couneilmember Aplikowski, in consideration of her service on the League of Minnesota Cities <br />Improving Service Delivery Policy Committee, sought any Council comments regarding policy <br />priorities to be presented to the League, Discussion eusued, with no action taken, <br /> <br />J. Proclamation, City Employee, Kevin Ringwald <br /> <br />Mayor Probst read a Proclamation honoring former Community Development Director, and <br />Assistant to the City Administrator, Kevin Ringwald, Mayor Probst expressed his personal <br />appreciation to Mr. Ringwald's service to the City of Arden Hills, <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />Councilmember Larson moved and Councilmember Aplikowski seconded a <br />motion approving the proclamation, and directing staffto forward the <br />proclamation to Mr. Ringwald, The motion carried unanimously (5-0), <br /> <br />ADMINISTRATOR COMMENTS <br /> <br />Council members, Mr. Fritsinger and Mr. Post reviewed several additional procedural issues <br />during the administrator transition process, It was the consensus of the Council that Mr, Post <br />seek consulting assistance from Mr. Fritsinger on an hourly basis, prior to his employment with <br />the City of Cloquet, or from other appropriate consultants, at his discretion, <br /> <br />. Mr. Post stated that, at the next Council Worksession, he would be asking the Couneil for their <br />direction in outlining the priorities they wanted staffto pursue during the transition period, <br /> <br />Mr. Fritsinger expressed his appreciation to Mayor Probst and Councilmembers for the <br />opportunities provide to him during his tenure with the City of Arden Hills, <br /> <br />COUNCIL COMMENTS AND COMMITTEE LIAISON ACTIVITY REPORTS <br /> <br />Councilmember Larson asked Mayor Probst and Couneilmembers about the timing, given reeent <br />staff changes, of this fall's proposed task force appointment, and suggested notifying those <br />applicants to the task forees of another potential delay, No action was taken, <br /> <br />Councilmember Larson, in consideration of his association with Mr. Fritsinger on Planning <br />Commission and City Council projects, expressed his appreciation to Mr. Fritsinger, and wished <br />him well in his new position with the City of Cloquet. <br /> <br />Councilmember Malone expressed his appreciation of Mr. Fritsinger, stating that the community <br />had benefited greatly by Mr. Fritsinger's involvement in the community and his serviee to the <br />City of Arden Hills, Councilmember Malone stated that Mr. Fritsinger's expertise and <br />dedication would be hard to replace, <br /> <br />. <br />
