Post, Interim City Administrator <br /> <br />Dwayne Stafford, Pnblic Works Director \)S <br /> <br />FROM: <br /> <br />SUBJECT: <br /> <br />2000 Street Improvement Project <br /> <br />Backl!:ronnd <br />The Arden Hills City Council ordered a Preliminary Feasibility Report in the matter of the 2000 <br />Street Improvement Project, at its October 12, 1999 City Council meeting. Attached is <br />Resolution #99-40, receiving the report and stating that informational meetings and public <br />hearings will be held at a later date for the 2000 Street Improvement Project. <br /> <br />The attached report addresses the reconstruction, bituminous overlay, and sealcoating projects <br />identified for the 2000 Street Improvement Project. <br /> <br />Costs <br />The estimated costs for the improvements are summarized in the report and range from <br />$1,600,000 to $2,400,000. Final costs will be determined based upon the scope of work and <br />alternates that are selected by the Council, following input from the public at informational <br />meetings and public hearings. <br /> <br />Recommendation <br />Staff recommends that the City Council consider the following actions: <br /> <br />1. Adopt Res. #99-40 entitled, "Resolution Receiving Preliminary Report in the <br />Matter of the 2000 Street Improvement Project;" <br /> <br />2. Authorize staff to hold an infonnational meeting on the proposed improvements <br />on November 30, 1999 at 7:00 p.m. at City Hall; and <br /> <br />3. Hold a Public Hearing on the proposed improvement in conjunction with the <br />January 10,2000 City Council meeting. <br />
