<br />\ - <br /> <br />; <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br /> <br />MEMORANDUM <br /> <br />DATE: <br /> <br />December 13, 1999 ~ <br /> <br />Mayor and City Council <br /> <br />Nancy Randall, Assoc ate ~r <br /> <br />TO: <br /> <br />FROM: <br /> <br />SUBJECT: <br /> <br />Case #99-22, Civic Center Zoning District and Rezoning <br />City of Arden Hills <br /> <br />ReQuest <br />The City of Arden Hills is requesting the creation of a Civic Center Zoning District and <br />rezoning of a portion ofthe Twin Cities Army Ammunition Plant (TCAAP) for the Civic <br />Center District. The City Council, at their November 29, 1999, regular Council meeting, <br />directed staff to prepare Ordinances for publication of the Civic Center Zoning District. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Backl!round <br />Staff has prepared a draft ordinance as discussed at the November 29, 1999, regular <br />Council meeting. A legal description ofthe area to be re-zoned has been created. Due to <br />the difficult curve in the north portion of the site the surveyor created a triangular shape. <br />This seemed acceptable to staff at this time. <br /> <br />Recommendation <br />Staff recommends Council approve Ordinance # 316 and #317 and direct staff to publish <br />the Ordinances. <br /> <br />Note. Pursuant to Section VIII, D, 1, b of the Zoning Ordinance a "...four-fifths (4/5's) <br />majority of the full Council is required for action to amend the zoning ordinance. In the <br />event an application for amendment is approved, an appropriate amending ordinance <br />shall be executed and published." <br /> <br />e <br />
