A. Schifsky and Sons, Inc. of North St. Paul, Minnesota the <br />1998 Street Reconstruction and Maintenance Improvements Project on April 27, 1998. T.A. <br />Schifsky and Sons low bid was $ 679,356.69. A change order of $ 10,602.70 was approved on <br />October 13, 1998 for additional milling and paving work on Sandeen Road. <br /> <br />Project Status <br />The project was substantially completed in 1998. Schifsky completed a few punchlist items <br />earlier this spring but failed to complete two concrete related items located on Stowe A venue <br />and Brighton Way. These two final work items were completed by Nadeau Utility, Inc. in late <br />November, 1999. BRW arranged for the work to be accomplished by Nadeau Utility after <br />Schifsky was nonresponsive in completing the work. The final project amount is approximately <br />$6,600.00 below the approved contract amount. <br /> <br />Recommendation <br />The Arden Hills City Engineer recommends the Council approve the Final Payment, Pay <br />Estimate #5 for T.A. Schifsky and Sons, Inc. of North St. Paul, Minnesota in the amount of <br />$34,636.63.
