. . . ~~ c9-/ 1'-\ltftJ ~ CITY OF ARDEN HILLS MEMORANDUM DATE: Febrnary 14,2000 TO: City Council FROM: Dennis Probst, Mayor SUBJECT: Response to City Administrator Memo Dated February 9, 2000 Ingerson Road Review Group As a response to the City Administrator's memo on the above-mentioned topic, I wanted to give the City Council some feedback on my position with regard to the Ingerson Road group. Chare:c I believe the charge of the group should be amended to read: "To evaluate and make recommendations regarding the scope of a road improvement project.. .." MakeuD The changes I would note in this area are as follows: . Staff be appointed to support the group. I would also add that I believe the Councilmembers appointed to the group should be Gregg Larson and David Grant. I believe these individuals can represent the Council as Liaisons to the group, and keep the Council informed on an ongoing basis about the proposed recommendations and timetable. . Also, I would like to suggest that the City consider appointing an individual from either the Operations and Finance Committee, or the Planning Commission, or both. . I am not set in the number of residents that should be appointed, although I agree with Mr. Lynch that the fewer the number, the easier it will be to function. Schedule While I appreciate Mr. Lynch's attempt at putting a proposed timeline together for the Council, I believe it is optimistic and does not allow enough time for information to be gathered, options to be explored and observations to occur. I would proposed the following: Date Activitv February, March and April, 2000 Preliminary and Follow up with group May, 2000 I would double the amount oftime indicated. I June,2000 would expand the schedule from three (3) July, 2000 months to six (6) months.
