Ms. Randall stated that there was a 50 foot side yard setback between the residential
property line to the fence surrounding the tennis courts. She noted that due to the odd shape the
lot does not have four sides and staff had determined the front, rear and sides of the property.

Councilmember Grant requested additional information regarding the tennis court storage
facility. Ms. Randall explained that the applicant was requesting a small building to be located
in the corner of the tennis courts. This building will house equipment such as the tennis ball
machines and balls, etc. She noted that this building was added to the plan after the Planning
Commission meeting.

With regard to the proposed traffic lane design, Councilmember Larson requested confirmation
that northbound traffic will be reduced to one lane after the Bethel Drive intersection. Ms.
Randall stated that this was correct. Councilmember Larson noted that at some point beyond the
intersection the road widens into two lanes. Additionally, the two southbound lanes will be
reduced to one lane. He asked where these merges will take place. Ms. Randall stated that the
northbound lane will be a single lane from the intersection to Lake Valentine Road, at which
point it will widen to two lanes. Councilmember Larson expressed concern that there may be a
great deal of traffic weaving in this area.

Ms. Randall stated that there will be two southbound lanes from Lake Valentine Road to the
Bethel Drive intersection. The left hand lane will become a designated turn lane onto Bethel
Drive and the right lane will continue forward to McCracken Lane where it returns to two lanes.

.
