Then asked that both land owners get together and come back to us with
what they considered to be an acceptable offer and they said they would.
We checked back numerous times and were informed each time that because offamily matters
and travel, they hadn't come up with a dollar figure_ In November of 1999 Dee Rushenberg
informed Don Evertz of Josephine East LLC That they were not going to give us a dollar amount
and they felt they didn't have to because,"the ball was in our court".
The city staff of Arden Hills met with Jos. East LLC And informed us they would meet with
W & R and inform them that the staff thought that an offer of$3,000 and filing fees was a fair
compensation for their easement
Although Jos. East LLC thought this dollar amount was high we agreed to it in the spirit of
compromise and in tbe hope that the W & R's would be reasonable.
The city staff informed los. East LLC. In Feb. 2000 that both land owners said $3000 was not
enough money and that they would not give the easement to the cily.

Donald Evertz

8~~

RECr::iV" 'ED
. i !.,._. ~ _

FEB 2 8 1'000
eHY Of A(U!;:',i
