Otherwise, he may feel differently about earlier hours.

Ms. Randall stated one of the neighbors called with questions but voiced no comments. She
noted that all Arden Hills property owners within 350 feet were notified.

Commissioner Rye stated it may make sense to approve hours of operation earlier so a
modification is not needed later.

In response to Commissioner Sand, Ms. Schumacher stated her other location is the "Sweat
Shop" in St. Paul.

Chair Erickson closed the public hearing at 8:03 p.m., as no one else wished to address the
Planning Commission.

Commissioner Sand stated that the addition was built within the last five years and he remembers
it was fairly well insulated. He asked if it meets all setback requirements since it did not come
before the Planning Commission for a variance. Ms. Randall stated it does meet all setback
requirements.

Commissioner Rye moved, seconded by Commissioner Nelson, to recommend approval
of Planning Case #00-13, Special Use Permit for a personal training studio with the
following conditions:

I. Music be kept to a minimum as to not disturb neighbors and windows shall
remain closed during sessions.
2. Applicant must reside in the house.
3.
