The requesting party <br />must show that: <br /> <br />A. A good faith effort has been/is being made to correct all violations cited. <br /> <br />B. <br /> <br />The granting of a time extension is an acceptable risk for the building occupants and tbe <br />State of Minnesota. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />C. Undue hardship will result to the reque~ting party unless tbe extension is granted. <br /> <br />The following: st~s must be taken to applv for a time extension: <br /> <br />1. Submit a letter to the local governing body requesting a time extension to comply with <br />the state or local fire inspector. (The local governing body would be the city council, <br />county board, board of supervisors, board of appeals or town board in the area where <br />the orders were issued.) <br /> <br />Be specific in your request, stating how you meet the requirements outlined in items A, <br />B, and C above. <br /> <br />-10 <br /> <br />The loeal governing body may move to endorse the time extension, deny or modifV the <br />time extension, m defer the matter to the State Fire Marshal. <br /> <br />In the event that there is any question or delay in obtaining action from the local <br />governing body, please contact the inspector who originally issued the orders. <br /> <br />REMEMBER, it is up to YOU to present your case to the local governing body_ <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />Submit the following items as a package directly to the State Fire Marshal in St. Paul <br />(address listed above). <br /> <br />e <br />
