Mayor Dennis Probst (arrived at 8:06 p.m.) <br /> <br />Absent: <br /> <br />City Administrator, Joe Lynch. <br /> <br />Also present were City Accountant, TerraJ1ce Post; Public Works Director, Dwayne <br />Stafford; City Engineer, Greg Brown, BRW; City Planner, Jennifer Chaput; aJ1d <br />Recording Secretary, Mary Mullen. <br /> <br />ADOPT AGENDA <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />Councilmember Aplikowski moved aJ1d Councilmember GraJ1t seconded a motion <br />to adopt f11e agenda for f11e May 30, 2000, regular City Council meeting, as <br />submitted, The motion carried unaJ1imously (4-0). <br /> <br />INTRODUCTIONIRECOGNITION OF GIRL SCOUTS. SILVER AWARD <br />ACHIEVEMENTS <br /> <br />Acting Mayor Larson welcomed five Girl Scouts aJ1d f11eir families aJ1d troop leaders, adding f11at <br />f11e young women had attained f11e Girl Scouts' highest award for Grades 6-9, f11e Silver Award, <br />He read a letter from Mayor Probst commending the Girl Scouts: Am1a Louise Dinndorf, Sara <br />JeaJ1 Fertig, Elise Marie Nelson, Laura Pistotnik, aJ1d Lindsy Pomeroy. <br /> <br />Councilmember Aplikowski asked how the Girl Scouts had achieved f11eir awards. The Girl <br />Scouts stated f11ey held badge labs for Brownies at which f11ey assisted f11e younger girls to earn <br />parts of badges aJ1d patches for their troops. Councilmember Aplikowski asked what f11ey <br />enjoyed most about Scouting. The Girl Scouts stated they enjoyed camping. <br /> <br />Acting Mayor Larson commended f11e Girl Scouts' families aJ1d troop leaders for f11eir support <br />aJ1d commitment. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> <br />A, May 8, 2000 Regular Council Meeting <br /> <br />Mr. Post noted that the May 8 Regular Council Meeting minutes properly reflect f11e discussion <br />with regard to Planning Case #00-14, Chuck Mertensotto, Front Yard Setback VariaJ1ce.
