<br />ARDEN HILLS PLANNING COMMISSION - JULY 5, 2000 <br /> <br />12 <br /> <br />PLANNING CASE #00-17C - WELSH COMPANIES -1887 AND 1987 GATEWAY <br />BOULEVARD - PUD AMENDMENT <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Ms. Chaput stated that she was just recently informed that Welsh Companies no longer manage <br />the properties in question. She added the new property manager is United Properties. <br /> <br />Ms. Chaput stated that the application in this case was made by Welsh Companies' Donna <br />Becker, who is no longer responsible for the properties. She added she would presume that the <br />case should not be reviewed, since it was not proposed by the current property managers. She <br />reconunended the case be tabled until further information can be obtained. <br /> <br />Conunissioner Duchenes asked for clarification with regard to the sixty day time limit for this <br />request. <br />Ms. Chaput stated that the sixty day time period was extended by the City for an additional sixty <br />days and will expire on July 7. She added she would make inunediate contact with the property <br />management company to determine whether the application would be withdrawn or waive the <br />sixty day time limit. <br /> <br />Conunissioner Duchenes stated the owner of the property stays the same, although the property <br />management has changed. Ms. Chaput stated it would not be proper to act on this case without <br />notification from the property management company. <br /> <br />Conunissioner Galatowitsch stated the Conunission could not act on the request without the <br />approval of the property's new owners. Ms. Chaput agreed. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Conunissioner Galatowitsch asked how Ms. Chaput gained this information, and whether City <br />staff had verified that it was true. Ms. Chaput stated the City Administrator received information <br />from a representative of Welsh Companies that the property turnover had occurred on July 1.. <br /> <br />Conunissioner Baker moved, seconded by Conunissioner Nelson to table Planning Case <br />#00-17c, Planned Unit Development (PUD) Amendment, Welsh Companies, 1987 and <br />1887 Gateway Boulevard, due to lack of representation from the property's owner and <br />recent information gained by City staff that the applicant may no longer be involved with <br />the property. <br /> <br />The motion carried unanimously (5-0). <br /> <br />PLANNING CASE #00-28 - CITY OF ARDEN HILLS - WATER TOWER MASTER <br />PLAN (DISCUSSION ONLy) <br /> <br />Ms. Chaput explained that Staffhas been directed by the City Council to review the City's water <br />tower locations and establish a "master plan" of how to handle requests for the location of <br />teleconununication antennas on the tower and their ground-related structures. <br /> <br />At their regular meeting on May 8, 2000, the City Council passed Resolution #00-20 to direct <br />staff to no longer accept applications for the location ofteleconununications antenna and ground . <br />structures on the water towers in the City. The intent of the resolution was for the City to <br />develop a long-term plan for the water tower sites, guiding future applications. <br />
