Ringold
4 Pine Tree Drive Apt. 112.
Arden Hills, MN 55102

Dear Ms. Ringold:

As a participant in the Department of Housing and Urban Development's
Section 8 program, we are required to provide you with a one-year written
notice if we do not intend to renew the Hunter's Park Apartment Section 8
contract. The Section 8 contract that pays the Government's share of your
apartment rent expires on September 28,2001.

This letter is to notify you that we do not intend to renew the
contract when it expires.

.

Since we do not intend to renew this project-based contract upon its
expiration, it is our understanding that, subject to the availability of
appropriations, the Department of Housing and Urban Development will
provide tenant-based rental assistance to all eligible residents currently
residing in a Section 8 project-based assisted unit. This tenant based
assistance will enable eligible residents to choose the place they wish to rent,
which is likely to include the dwelling unit in which they currently reside.
Residents may also choose another development or a single family house in
which to move provided that the new landlord is willing to accept the tenant-
based assistance and basic program requirements are met.

Please remember that rental assistance will continue to be provided on your
behalf for one year, in addition, if Congress makes funds available, we may
agree to a renewal of the contract with HUD, thus avoiding contract
termination all together.

.

ar:u'\or:DT'v.-...!~~It./~~r::Ur:AIT ... orlt.J C'C:'T"''T"C' CD~""''''f leT'C!'
