<br />Screening types may be a fence, wall or landscaping area. It is the property owner's responsibility to <br />provide screening, as required. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />The applicant is proposing that two types of mechanical equipment be located on the ground on this <br />property. There is no screening plan provided with this application but the applicant is willing to <br />screen the units according to City Council recommendation. Planning Case #00-17a required the same <br />applicants at the same address to screen their proposed outdoor units with cedar wood construction, <br />painted to match the exterior of the building. <br /> <br />Deadline for A~encv Actions <br />The City of Arden Hills received the complete application for this request on August 7, 2000. Pursuant to <br />Minnesota State Statute, the City must act on this request by October 6, 2000 (60 days), unless the City <br />provides the petitioner with written reasons for an additional 60-day review period. The additional review <br />period would extend to December 5, 2000. The City may, with the petitioners' consent, extend the review <br />period beyond the December 5, 2000, date. <br /> <br />Lastly, if the City denies the petitioners' request, Ii ... it must state, in writing, the reasons for the denial at <br />the time that it denies the request. H <br /> <br />Ontions <br />1. Recommend approval as submitted. <br />2. Recommend approval with conditions. <br />3. Recommend denial with reasons for denial. <br />4. Table for additional information. <br /> <br />.- <br /> <br />Recommendations <br />The Planning Commission recommends approval of Planning Case #00-31, Planned Unit Development <br />Amendment for 1887 Gateway Blvd. for the addition of a make-up air unit and a chiller condenser, as <br />shown in the applicant's submittal, with the following conditions: <br /> <br />1. Screening of the make-up air unit and chiller condenser must be constructed of opaque colored <br />webbed fencing (materials as agreed on with staff) of a color to match the building and built to <br />a height equal to the equipment being screened. <br />2.
