I heard that this was <br />because not enough people showed an interest in it last year to make it <br />worthwhile. I know that me and my friends would go down to it quite often <br />if it were open this next year. It was pretty hard for us to skate when we <br />had to go way over to the park on the coumer of Snelling and E. I worked <br />at some ice rinks last year, but they were all relatively far away. .If this <br />rink were open, it would be a lot easier for me to get in more hours, <br />especially since I can just walk down there any time. <br />Also, my mother hosts a "skating" party every year in January. This is <br />were all of her friends from work and some relatives come over and we all <br />party. Later on, we go down to the rink and skate around for a whiie, To <br />do this, we have to rent the rink for the night. Last year we had some <br />trouble, because we had to drive over to the rink on Snelling and not as <br />many of the little kids came to skate, ltwould be a lot better if the <br />Valentine Park rink were open again. That is my oppinion on the matter, and <br />I hope we get enough people to agree with me that you change your mind about <br />keeping the Valentine Park rink closed again this year. I also thank you <br />A for your time I took in having you read this letter.
