We are <br />writing to respectfully request that the Valentine Park Skating Rink be <br />opened this year. <br />Our neighborhood demographics have changed and there are many families with <br />young children who have recently moved into the neighborhood. We have two <br />children in our family who are active in hockey and figure skating. Our <br />family would use the rink on a frequent basis. <br />It is our understanding that you feel that it is too expensive to keep the. <br />warming house open. If it is prohibitively expensive to keep the warming <br />house open, perhaps it should be opened only on weekends. <br />We also understand that you feel the rink is difficult to maintain due to <br />the slope of the landscape. This has not been an issue in the past; in fact <br />the skating rink had been opened for many years. <br />Again, it is our request that the Valentine Park Skating Rink be opened this <br />year.
