The clerk, Wynetta Ruth Ray made a sale, to a minor. It is my understanding that this case has now been adjudicated, and in accordance with City of Arden Hills Ordinance No. 310, Section 13.5 - 11, "Compliance Checks and Inspections," the City of Arden Hills is hereby notifying you of a hearing that will be held on October 10, 2000 for the purpose of determining that a violation took place and the institution or ordering of an administrative fine to be levied against your business for the sale oftobacco to a minor. The City's administrative fine for the first offense within a 24-month period is $200.00. You may waive your right to this hearing, admit to the violation and pay the fee without having to appear before the City Council on October 10, 2000. Otherwise, if we do not hear from you and do not receive the administrative fine, the hearing will be held and the fine ordered. You are hereby notified that a violation has occurred, arid if another violation occurs within a 24-month period, the second violation carried with it a $500.00 fme. If a third violation should occur within a 24-month period, an administrative fine of $1,000.00 or closure of your business for seven (7) operating days may be ordered.
