<br />ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL WORKSESSION - OCTOBER 16, ZOOO.; <br /> <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />ADMINISTRATION DEPARTMENT <br /> <br />Councilmembcrs discusscd the Association of Metropolitan Municipalities (AMM) 2001 <br />Policy Priorities 2001. It was the conscnsus of the Council that they were disappointcd in <br />the list oflegislative initiatives. After discussion, the Council selected three (3) priorities <br />to forward to the AMM, by action at their October 30, 2000 regular City Council <br />meeting. Those priorities are as follows: <br /> <br />. I-A <br />. V-B <br />. Other <br /> <br />Le,'Y Limits (Revenue) <br />Rcgional Transit System (Transportation) <br />Sales Tax Repeal <br /> <br />COUNCIL COMMENTS <br /> <br />Councilmembcr Rem noted that the Operations and Finance Committee meeting was <br />scheduled with discussion centering on HACA and streetlights. <br /> <br />Councilmcmber Grant stated that hc had been approached by several neighbors regarding <br />burning regulations. <br /> <br />Councilmember Larson had no comments. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Councilmember Aplikowski spoke regarding Ms. Lemberg's concerns (1401 Skiles <br />Lane) regarding the neighbor's fireplace and the invasiveness of the smoke in their home. <br /> <br />Councilmember Aplikowski advised that the City Events Task Force would be mceting in <br />the near future, and would like to suggest that a calendar of the celebration events be <br />documented, rather than serve as a sale item at the event. <br /> <br />Mayor Probst reviewed several events he has been requested to attend in his capacity as <br />Mayor and TCAAP-related activities. <br /> <br />CITY ADMINISTRATOR COMMENTS <br /> <br />Mr. Lynch had no comments. <br /> <br />ADJOURN <br /> <br />MOTION: Councilmember Grant moved and Councilmember Rem seconded <br />a motion to adjourn the meeting at 7:45 p.m. The motion carried unanimously (5- <br />0). <br /> <br />. <br />
