<br />. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />A 50th Anniversary celebration is a unique circumstance for the City and should be granted the <br />necessary sign approvals to celebrate this civic event. <br /> <br />(c) Changing technologies in the Sign Industry, <br />Overall, it could be said that the sign materials and durability have been improved over time and <br />signs that may not have been aesthetically pleasing in the past, are much more acceptable today. <br /> <br />Options <br />1. Recommend approval as submitted. <br />2. Recommend approval with conditions. <br />3. Recommend denial with reasons for denial. <br />4, Table for additional information. <br /> <br />Recommendation <br />Staff recommends approval of Planning Case #00-44, Special Use Permit (SUP) to attach banners <br />to 17 utility poles along County Road E for the year 2001, in celebration of the City's 50th <br />Anniversary, with the following conditions: <br /> <br />1, Each banner shall not to exceed 32 square feet in area, as required by the Sign Ordinance; and <br />2. In celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the City, the banners shall remain up for the 2001 <br />calendar year; and <br />3. The Planning Commission will review this issue in 2001 and make recommendations to amend <br />the Sign Ordinance accordingly. <br /> <br />3 <br />
