Post, City Accountan@ <br /> <br />SUBJECT: <br /> <br />Sanitary Sewer Utility Ratc Rccommcndation <br /> <br />Backl!:round <br />At the February 28, 2000 regular meeting, the Arden Hills City Council adopted Resolution No, <br />00-16, "Revising Sanitary Sewer Utility Rates Effective January], 2000," The impact of this <br />action was to increase the senior rate flat charge and to decrease the rates to other custorners. <br /> <br />The increase in the senior rate resulted from an earlier staffrecommendation to phase in a <br />seventeen percent (17%) price increase over a three (3) year period (1999 - 2001) to accomplish <br />the objective of having the senior sanitary sewer rate reflective of average senior water <br />consumption (67%) relative to other residential customers, <br /> <br />. Council should note that the City of Arden Hills has consistently <br />passed on these MCES processing cost savings to sanitary sewer utility customers. <br /> <br />Rccommcndation <br />Staffrecommends that Council adopt Resolution No, 00-48, "Resolution Revising Sanitary <br />Sewer Utility Rates Effective January], 2001," at the regular meeting of December 11, 2000. <br /> <br />. <br />
