<br />ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL WORKSESSION - AUGUST 20, 2001 <br /> <br />2 <br /> <br />Rice Creek Watershed District. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Discussion included agreement in principle of and coordination with Rice Creek <br />Watershed District's goals; inclusion of Marsden Lake and other TCAAP areas on <br />the appropriate map; revision of the Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) <br />Implementation Schedule Crable 6) to accommodate realistic cost and time <br />projections; coordination of the Stormwater Management Plan with the City's <br />Comprehensive Park Plan; matching rcgional pond locations as identified by the <br />City's Consulting Engineer Firm; inclusion of the City's drainage report as an <br />appendix; projected pond locations on existing public property with no projected <br />land acquisition costs and the flexibility of moving ponds to other locations (i.e., <br />Valentine Park); reduction of Appendix D to a summary; and procedure and a <br />theoretical timeframe for handling plan amendments. <br /> <br />Mr. Leaf was directed to make the revisions as discussed, along with that <br />formatting, legends, figure captions, and reference clarifications and corrections <br />requested in respective sections. S.E.H. was requested to provide a second draft <br />of the document, as revised, for Council review and preliminary adoption for <br />review by the Rice Creek Watershed District and the Metropolitan Council, as <br />well as the City's Water Quality Task Force for their review and comments in line <br />with the best practices summary previously prepared by the Task Force. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Staff was directed that an anticipated timeframe was for the second draft of the <br />document be provided to tbe City council within two (2) weeks; further discussion <br />at their September 17, 2001 Worksession; preliminary adoption to release the <br />document for agency review at the September 10, 2001 meeting; and formal <br />adoption at one of the regular November City Council meetings, to allow for a <br />sixty (60) day approval period <br /> <br />ADMINISTRA nON DEPARTMENT <br /> <br />City Hall Dedication (Fla~ Polc and Trees) <br /> <br />Reestablishment of the plaques at the new City Hall, previously located at the old <br />City Hall was briefly discussed. Further discussion included individual <br />dedication of a tree or perennial plantings by each Councilmember. <br /> <br />Parks and Recreation and Interim Public Works Director Tom Moore, was <br />directed to contact the Crepeau family for their preference to having the plaque <br />located at City Hall or in Crepeau Preserve. <br /> <br />STAFF COMMENTS <br /> <br />City Administrator Lynch updated Councilmembers on the Arden Towers <br />discussion, now scheduled for the September 17, 2001 Worksession. <br /> <br />. <br />
