Arden Hills spenl time and money in '93 or '94 to re-grade the bank and side of our lot to direct waler
away from the pond on Amble. This re-grading project was coordinated by Dwayne Stafford at the
request of Roger Aitken. Mr. Atken'g, claim was lbat our lot was directing additional water to the pond
and resulted in his driveway being underwater. The property behind u' drains to our lot and any
development would significantly compound drainage and ponding problems.
2. Private access drives inherently pose problems. for access for emergency vehicles not to mention
service acces.s including garba.ge pick up and snow removal

This development request is simply incompatible with existing neighborhood panerns and is
environmentaJly unsound.

What is an unsound request for deveiopment today will be unsound in the fulure. Therefore we slrongly
hope you will deny this request as well as future requests.

We have heard mention of protecting this land through a conservation easemen[ and would like 10 see thaI
pursued and explained [0 the affected landowner>.

Thank you.
Chris and Barb Paul
