This particular intersection and several other
inter~ections and entrances to Lexington Avenue all the way North to 694 are nothing but
accidents waiting to happen, r can't imagine building another business on this comer that
would generate even more traffic problems.

.

When I leave work about 5:00 PM, via L.exington Avenue, T first need to determine how
far the traffic is backed up coming from the south On Lexington Avenue, At times the
traffic is backed up as far as Cannon A venue. If I leel thaI I can no[ lla1ely make a leit
hand turn to go n011h on Lexington Avenue, even though I live north, I then mu~1: turn
south on Lexington Avenue, turn right on to Pine Tree Drive and follow this street until
it finally comes out by Norwest Bank on County Road E. At County Road E, 1 turn right
and then work my way over to the left hand lane so that [ can make a left hand turn
heading north onto Lexington Avenue Incidentally, the traffic on County Road R is
backed up nearly to Norwest Bank, and the cars are bumper to bumper all the way to the
lights on Lexington Ave, Nor only are they bumper to bumper, they are also blocking all
the entran.ces and the exits to the businesses located along County Road E. T have
witnessed many near accidents along with many real accidents in these areas.

.

You might think, maybe I should try to exit the shopping center directly onto County
Road E. First of all, r would have to wait for someone to let me enter traffic so 1 could
make a right hand turn, Once this is accomplished, T realize there is not enough time to
get into the left hand lane so that 1 can turn north onto Lexington Avenue. So, what
should 1 do? Common sense tells me T ~hould drive east, turn around and go back so r
can turn right onto Lexin, gton Avenue, Good idea, but what about the no U turn sign, and
T am not about to drive to Vietoria Avenue so r can safely turn around, So, what do I do.
I turn left into the center where Stephen's Frame and Pizza Hut is located. 1 am praying
a~1 thewhile that a pizza delivery guy doesn't hit me in his haste to delivery a hot hand
tossed pepperoni pizza, My State Farm agent would roll over in her grave if she knew the
route T have [0 lake at least twice a week to get home. Remember, T live 6 blocks away
from work. 1 then drive slowly and carefully through the parking lot and use their exit to
make a right hand turn onto Lexington Avenue. Just imagine what goes through my
mind, when I think a pizza would sure be good for supper. I like the pizza from Davannis
and it is right across the street in the Shannon Shopping Center. Yikes, I can'r get in rhc
turning lane, and ifI do how am 1 going to get out of the shopping center without getting
hit by the cars coming north on Lexington. Even when there isn't a ton of traffic, it is
still hard to turn left from this little shopping center. I think. T will forget the pizza, I
won't check out the cute dress shop, forget about developing the film I have in my purse,
