<br />. <br /> <br />AGREEMENT BETWEEN <br />METROPOLITAN AREA MANAGEMENT ASSOCIATION (MAMA) AND <br />COALITION OF GREATER MINNESOTA CITIES (CGMC) <br />ON BEHALF OF METROPOLITAN AREA CITIES AND <br />GREATER MINNESOTA CITIES SUBSCRIBERS AND <br />LABOR RELATIONS ASSOCIATES, INC. (LRA) <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />u. <br /> <br />A. PURPOSE OF AGREEMENT <br /> <br />The purpose of this AGREEMENT is to provide for labor relations services, <br />employee compensation analyses and personnel services to subscriber Twin Cities <br />Metropolitan Area and Greater Minnesota Cities and remuneration for such services as <br />outlined below. <br /> <br />B. SERVICES TO BE PROVIDED <br /> <br />1. For Cities in the Twin Cities Metropolitan Area <br /> <br />Labor Relations Associates, Inc. - Principals and Associates - will not charge <br />individual subscriber cities for the services outlined as follows: tit <br /> <br />a. A Principal of LRA will participate with subscriber cities in any joint <br />negotiations, mediation, or labor/management committee involving two or <br />more subscribers and a common union representing similar bargaining units <br />when the cities choose to bargain jointly. <br /> <br />b. A Principal of LRA will consult with subscriber cities' elected and/or <br />appointed officials by telephone, letter, FAX, or in person with regard to their <br />individual labor relations, employee compensation, and personnel matters. <br /> <br />c. <br /> <br />LRA Principals will provide subscribers with data maintained by LRA and as <br />. . <br />provided for by this AGREEMENT, make recommendations as to commonly <br />used language to be placed in Labor Agreements, make recommendations <br />for initial City response to grievances filed by employee organizations, make <br />recommendations regarding individual arbitrators in interest and/or <br />grievance arbitration cases, provide recommendations with regard to the <br />general content of a subscriber's personnel policies and practices, provide <br />initial recommendations regarding responses to State administrative <br />agencies involving such issues as Workers' Compensation, Unemployment <br />Compensation, Veterans' Preference, Equal Employment <br />Opportunity/Human Rights, and Affirmative Action, and make initial <br />recommendations as to appropriate disciplinary action on a case-by-case <br /> <br />e <br />
