POLICY. It is the policy of the Board of Managers to regulate <br />the appropriation of public waters as follows. <br /> <br />2. REGULATION. A permit from the District is required for the <br />appropriation of water from: <br /> <br />(a) A public water basin or wetland wholly within <br />Hennepin or Ramsey County which is less than 500 acres <br />in surface area. <br /> <br />(b) A protected watercourse which has a drainage area <br />of less than 50 square miles. <br /> <br />3. CRITERIA. A permit applicant for appropriation of public <br />waters as described above must complete and submit to the District <br />an appropriation checklist. The appropriation checklist form may <br />be obtained from the District office. <br /> <br />32 <br />
