Mr. <br />Schwerm moved to approve the seven items totaling $117,000 as submitted by the Fire <br />Department. Motion seconded. Mr. Lynch hesitated approving these items without comparison <br />to all other expenditures and preferred to have it set forth in a total budget. Mr. Watson said that <br />he was not familiar with the Fire Department budget and would normally be in favor of <br />postponing any action until the next meeting. Mr. Schwerm accepted an amendment from Mr. <br />Lynch to delete $77,000 from the requests and to approve an expenditure of$40,000 to purchase <br />lights for Unit 835, audiovisual upgrade at all four stations and funding for a duty crew for six <br />months. Motion carried unanimously. It was agreed that the other items would be included in <br />the 2002 budget and was suggested that the Fire Department offer some options for using the <br />Alliant funds. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />TANKER <br /> <br />Chief Schreier said that he will be meeting to discuss replacement of the tanker at Station 2. <br />North Oaks will need to plan the expenditure in 2002. <br /> <br />Chief Schreier also announced that the ISO water shuttle drill will take place in North Oaks on <br />June 14,2001 beginning at 6:00 p.m. <br /> <br />NEXT FIRE BOARD MEETING <br /> <br />The next meeting will beheld on August 8, 2001 at 7:30 a.m. at the North Oaks City Office, 100 <br />Village Center Drive, Suite 150. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />On motion duly made, seconded and carried unanimously, the meeting was adjourned at <br />9:20 a.m. <br /> <br />Nancy P.
