<br />I <br />It <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />-- <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />PROJECT DEVELOPMENT REPORT <br /> <br />County Road I <br />Between Wood Duck Court and Lexington A venue <br /> <br />1.0 INTRODUCTION <br /> <br />This Project Development Report for County Road I between Wood Duck Court and <br />Lexington Avenue has been prepared to provide background information on the proposed <br />project. The Project Development Report will also give the Cities of Shoreview and Arden <br />Hills an opportunity to concur with the design parameters. <br /> <br />The proposed project includes realigning the Lexington A venue intersection south of the <br />Fire Station and matching the existing County Road I west of Wood Duck Court. The <br />purpose of the project is to address the congestion concerns at County Road I and Lexington <br />Avenue. <br /> <br />Ramsey County Public Works has discussed realignment of County Road I between <br />Hamline A venue and Lexington A venue since 1987. Discussion of the alignment alternates <br />is included in the report for background. <br /> <br />2.0 PROJECT LOCATION AND EXISTING CONDITIONS <br /> <br />2.1 Project Location <br />The proposed project is County Road I (County State Aid Highway 3) from Wood Duck <br />Court to Lexington Avenue. The project is located in the Cities of Shoreview and Arden <br />Hills and is 0.3 miles in length (see Figure 1). <br /> <br />2.2 In Place Highway Section <br /> <br />The following describes the existing conditions along the proposed conidor: <br /> <br />Design Element <br /> <br />Descri oti on <br /> <br />1. Typical section <br /> <br />- <br />In 1959, Ramsey County constructed County Road I of <br />bituminous pavement. From Harnline to 1000 feet west of <br />Lexington, the road is 24 feet wide with 6 foot gravel shoulders. <br />From 1000 feet west of Lexington A venue to Lexington <br />A venue the road is 44 feet wide with bituminous curb. <br /> <br />2.
