<br />. <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />The Fire Department agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the City <br />as against all claims for damages, of whatever kind, resulting from <br />the Fire Inspector's actions or failure to act while engaged as a Fire <br />Inspector or Fire Suppression Inspector for the Fire Department. <br /> <br />----..,.. <br />e <br /> <br />3. The use of Fire Department vehicles and equipment and <br />reimbursement for mileage while engaged in Fire Department <br />services shall be subject to the Fire Department's policies. <br /> <br />C. Schedulinl!:. The City and Fire Department will coordinate the scheduling <br />of the Fire Inspector so that the Fire Inspector is available to provide <br />backup services to the City's Building Inspector due to vacations, illness, <br />or continuing education classes. <br /> <br />D. Training. The City and Fire Department shall agree upon the scope of <br />professional development for the Fire Inspector (including but not limited <br />to, training, licensing, and equipping) and shall mutually agree upon the <br />cost sharing for such professional development. <br /> <br />E. <br /> <br />Compensation/Reimbursement. The City shall bill the Fire Department <br />for the services of the Fire Inspector on a monthly basis. The Fire <br />Department shall tender payment of the invoiced amount within thirty (30) <br />days of receipt of the invoice. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />The billing rates for the Fire Inspector shall be based upon the Arden Hills <br />Job Classification Plan. The hourly rates will be automatically increased <br />on January 1 of each year based upon the cost of living adjustment and the <br />pay step system ofthe Arden Hills Job Classification Plan. The proposed <br />pay grade at the time of the execution of this Memorandum of <br />Understanding is as follows: <br /> <br />Step 1 (starting rate) is $23 per hour. <br /> <br />Step 2 at 6 months is a 2.5% increase ($23.58 per hour). <br /> <br />Step 3 at 12 months is a 2.5% increase ($24.16 per hour). <br /> <br />Step 4 at 2 years is a 4% increase ($25.13 per hour). <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />2 <br /> <br />e <br />
